The Principle and Criteria of Civility in Islamic Management

    Rafi' al-Din Ismaeli* / HasanUsefzadeh**
    Abstract
When we study Islamic sources we fully realize that Islam is not only concerned with man’s spiritual aspects, morals, people’s piety and relationship with God but also with their social relations and running social affairs, etc. Since the manager do thing through has some other people, it is necessary for him to have meaningful, intelligible and clear relations with them. Managers should work as hard as possible to strengthen their relations with their staff and people. According to the religious approach, the kind of relations between managers and the staff and the way bosses deal with their subjects depend on manager's axiological and cognitive construct. According to Islam's axiological and cognitive perspective some features and principles are taken care of with regard to managers' and bosses' behavior. If managers can have a general acquaintance with these principles, they will, without doubt, be successful in building relations with their staff. One of the main principles is civility. Prophets and the Fourteen infallible Imams can be good examples for the managers of Islamic society. Using a documentary method and relying on religious sources, the present paper tries to study the principle and criteria of civility, which has a remarkable status in Islamic management.

    Intra-Communicotion from an Islamic Perspective

    / Ali Musa'ed* /Mohsen Manteghi**
    Abstract
The relation between one and oneself is called intra- Communicotion. Explaining the concept of self, reality of man and necessity of knowing oneself can be effective in having good understanding of intra- Communicotion. Intra- Communicotion contributes to having such things like self-confidence, self-control, work conscience and self-knowledge by the people working in an organization. Officials’ self-knowledge which is a key factor in increasing productivity makes the self flourish in establishing relation with oneself and in different stages, namely, preconditioning, self-vigilance, self-reckoning and self-reproach. The relation between self-knowledge and effective relation with oneself is an increasing circular one. In other words, the success or failure of one depends on the success or failure of the other. According to Islam, the direction which this relation takes is more important than the very kind of this relation. One should know oneself very well in order to establish an effective relation with oneself in order to direct this relation towards one’s perfection and beatitude. According to Islam and the image which the Quran presents about man, intra- Communicotion have to be in the direction which will not separate man from his Creator but make him get closer to his origin and Creator.
Key words: relations, relationship with oneself, man, the glorious Quran.

An Inquiry into the Effects of Vanity
on the Main Founctions of Management

Hasan Zarei Matin* / Zahir Akbari**
    Abstract
Vanity is one of man's sensual vices and destructive factors of man’s personal and professional life. Such factors as wealth, position and knowledge contribute to the development of vanity. However, the most important factors of vanity are ignorance and inattention to the spiritual powers which man has. Vanity leads to the decrease of intimate ties and cooperation among people and has harmful effects on the productivity, prestige and reputation of organizations. Haughty people in an organization not only disregard other people’s confidence, cooperation, knowledge and information, but due to their imperious and contemptuous behavior and rank they have in the organization and of the organization, they make people feel especial facilities discouraged. This situation causes the members of organization in their different levels to be separated from one other and it brings problems to all managerial Functions such as planning, organizing, control, and management.
Using a descriptive-analytical method, the present paper studies "vanity" as a problem, and analyzes and compares its effects on management Functions. It is also believed that one has to give special attention to three domains (knowledge of the Most High God, knowledge of man’s mental and physical weakness, and knowledge of one's needs in relation to others) as a means of avoiding vanity.
Key words: vanity, the origin of vanity, the effects of vanity on management Functions, the way of getting ride of vanity.

    The Just Boundary of
"Redistribution Policy" in the View of Islam

    Mohammad Mahdi Naderi*
    Abstract
According to Islamic viewpoint, one of the fundamental and important duties of a state or government is administering justice, one of whose important spheres is economic justice. A set of policies which aims at the administration of economic justice can be extracted from the Holy Quran, traditions, and Islamic disciplines. One of the important policies of Islamic economy for administering economic justice is "redistributive" policies. Using an analytical method based on independent judgment, which is commonly used in seminaries, the present paper tries to prove that redistributive policies have to continue until poverty and privation are eliminated. Furthermore, these policies should be designed in such a way that the economic system may move towards achieving a relative balance of wealth among the different classes of society, and then no economic gap will remain among the people in Islamic society.

    Mohammad Taqi Nouroozi*
    Abstract
There has been a sharp increase in the number of books and periodical articles on organizational changes, including change management, the methods for overcoming the resistance to change and the planned methods of making changes since mid -1970s. Therefore, it is not sensible to ask whether there is a change and development in a changing and developing environment in which modern organizations are in effect. So, the main question of the present paper is: how, according to Islam, should managers deal with the different changes which influence their organizations minute by minute. Using a descriptive-analytical method and citing evidence from Quranic verses, this paper tries to study and assess the preliminaries of change and the components of change management and then give a conclusion and come up with the results.

A Prelude to Islam and Futurology

    Muhsen Manteqi*
    Abstract
Prediction of the future has always been one of the man's concerns. Nowadays, scientific progress and combination of different sciences has enabled man through these sciences to find the path to his future life. The sacred Islamic law with its valuable sources are rich with methods and sources of futurology. Muslim scholars introduce a new chapter of this discipline by contemplating on the issues on Future Study such as the eternal life in the hereafter, the period of appearance of Imam Mahdi, decree and destiny and predictions to which religious traditions have referred.
Among the main differences between Islamic future studies and the common futurology is the emphasis of Islam on man's future in line with the eternal life in the hereafter. One of the most important scientific endeavors of futurology is elucidating the differences between futurology proposed by man and the definite promise of appearance period. Deepening the idea of futurology demands explaining its relationship with decree and destiny, which helps to understand his role in formulating divine decree and destiny. Furthermore, there are several authentic traditions in Islamic sources which predict for man part of the future. These traditions have eased off for man the difficulty of prediction, placing the responsibility of taking measures and designing future programs on his shoulder. Seminaries' readiness to contemplate on these fields contributes to the future changes.
Key words: Future Study, appearance period, decree and destiny, eternal life, actions.

Islam and Prediction of the Future:

    Opportunities and Threats*
    Abstract
Like any other discipline, Future Study has a number of generalities such as definition, aim, historical background, famous figures who are expert in this discipline, the developments it has experienced, and status in quo. When we deal with Future Study some question may arise. For example, what is the use of Future Study? What makes some scholars do futures studies, think and write books in this concern? What significance does this subject have?
Basically, man's volitional act represents regulating of behavior and taking actions to achieve a certain aim which will be achieved in the future. One never tries to achieve something which one does have at that time. All one’s concern is what to do in order to achieve the aim and obviously this aim is related to the future. When we want to achieve an aim we have to be acquainted with the conditions of for achieving it, the conditions required at the time of achieving it, how many of them are required and how many of them can be set out?
