Abstract:
Justice is one of the essentials of human existence and the core of human life. Without justice, people do not understand the meaning of life and societies cannot be sustained except by standing up for and expanding justice. In addition to justice and fairness themselves, seeking justice and fairness is among the natural needs of human beings, without which humanity does not have any meaning. A person with a sound mind is strongly drawn to justice. Societies that embrace the value of social justice provide the conditions and contexts for everyone to get his/her right. In these societies, all the affairs of the society are done in proportion and balance. Analyzing some concepts and sources from the Quran, Imam Ali's biography as well as Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei's views on policy-making in the field of social justice, this article has tried to investigate the extent to which these policy-makings have been taken into account. After the Islamic revolution, all the governments have acted cautiously in the area of social justice. This brings to mind two reasons: Either the policies have been incomplete and insufficient, or the governments have not been very willing to implement these policies. By examining the activities of these governments, we come to the conclusion that despite the appropriate policy-making in the realization of social justice, the governments have not yielded to these policies or have evaded the burden of this responsibility.
